One in 10 people in NSW are carers. This means we probably all know one. Carers are our family members, friends, work colleagues and neighbours. They are ordinary people who are providing ongoing, unpaid help to someone because of disability, mental illness, chronic illness, dementia or frail age.
In our lifetime, most of us will either become a carer or need care ourselves.
